Changes of the approved stay

It is advisable to keep touch with your host institution prior to your arrival in Slovakia to ensure there are no changes in your stay and it is possible to carry out the scholarship stay as planned (i.e. whether there is any change compared to the time when the acceptance/invitation letter was issued to you).

Please inform us about the exact date of your arrival to Slovakia by filling in the Scholarship Payment Form, where you can also choose the most suitable payment method for yourself. Please send this document to our office (per post to SAIA, n. o., Sasinkova 10, 812 20 Bratislava, Slovakia, or we can accept this form also as a scan at ceepus-incoming@saia.sk, if you decide to do so) no later than 1 week prior to the beginning of your scholarship stay. In case of any changes related to the beginning/completion of your scholarship stay, please, inform us as soon as possible.

Please, note that you may not change the period/duration of your scholarship stay without the permission of SAIA, as well as the permission of your host institution.

Changes of the approved stay:
Please note that it is not possible to extend the duration of the scholarship stay. Otherwise, the scholarship holder is to inform the NCO Slovakia about the changes related to the date of the beginning of his/her stay in Slovakia and about the changes related to the duration of his/her stay in Slovakia (i.e. his/her scholarship stay will be shorter), whereas following conditions apply:

• Changes related to the date of the beginning of scholarship holder’s stay in Slovakia which do not exceed 15 days (included), do not need to be requested by the scholarship holder and approved by the NCO Slovakia, however we strongly recommend you to inform the NCO Slovakia (ceepus-incoming@saia.sk) about such change as soon as possible.
• If the changes related to the date of the beginning of scholarship holder’s stay in Slovakia vary in more than 15 days, the scholarship holder must request such change in writing together with confirmation of the host institution to SAIA in Bratislava. Please note, such changes are subject to approval by the NCO Slovakia. We strongly recommend to inform the NCO Slovakia (ceepus-incoming@saia.sk) about intended changes in advance and to consult the official request and its requisites.

The scholarship stay is to be implemented as a whole, without interruptions. The scholarship stay can only be interrupted in exceptional cases under extraordinary circumstances (e. g. serious health issues or other force majeure situations), however any such change is subject to approval by the NCO Slovakia on the basis of an official request, that is to be delivered to the NCO without delay, immediately as the given situation arose, or as soon as the scholarship holder has learned about it.

Any change of the duration of the stay that leads to change in the scholarship amount awarded for the whole duration of the stay is to be consulted with the NCO Slovakia in advance. Such changes in the duration of the stay need to be approved by the NCO Slovakia. Please note, changes that require an approval by the NCO Slovakia as stated above are not claimable.
